The "A" models come with an automatic cutter, while the "P" models include a peeler. The Epson CW-C6000P printers are ideal for installation into an assembly line since the peeler peels and presents each label so they can be effortlessly applied to the product.

The "Gloss" versions use a special ink formula engineered for glossy media, while the "Matte" versions use an ink formula that works well with matte media.

Generally speaking, if you need to print product labels, choose the Gloss version; if you need to print durable industrial labels, barcodes, shipping labels, GHS BS5609 chemical labels, or other types of labels that don't need a glossy finish, go with the Matte version.

If you're looking for a color label printer that can handle even more volume, then look at the Epson TM-C7500. The Epson TM-C7500/TM-C7500G 4-inch color label printer is the fastest in the ColorWorks line, printing at speeds up to 12 inches per second.

While both the CW-C6000 and TM-C7500 models print at 1200 dpi, the CW-C6000 printers are much slower due to their serial printheads. If print speed is important, then the Epson TM-C7500 models (for Windows only) may be the better choice.

Like the CW-C6000, the TM-C7500/TM-C7500G comes in Gloss and Matte versions. Epson's C7500 printers come with an auto cutter.
